Wednesday, 4th June 2025 - Walking Tour Madrid of the Austrias
This is a walking tour, ideal for those arriving in Madrid for the first time or wanting to stroll through its most famous corners again. We will explore the historic centre of Madrid, built mainly during the reign of the Habsburg dynasty, also known in Spain as the House of Austria, a family that reigned from the 16th to the 18th century, almost 200 years! During this period, Madrid became the capital of a huge empire on which the sun never set.
During the tour, the group will learn in a dynamic and fun way , the history, legends and anecdotes of such emblematic places as: the Royal Palace (the origin of Madrid), the Almudena Cathedral, Calle Mayor, Plaza de la Villa, Calle del Codo (where sword duels took place), Calle de la Pasa, Puerta Cerrada, Cava de San Miguel, Arco de Cuchilleros, the San Miguel Market, Plaza Mayor, Calle de la Sal, Calle de Postas and the famous Puerta del Sol.
Each tour lasts approximately 2,5 hours.
Thursday 5th June 2025 - Walking tour Madrid of the Borbones
This is a walking tour, ideal for those arriving in Madrid for the first time or wanting to stroll through its most famous corners again. We will explore the historic centre of Madrid.
During the tour the group will visit Puerta de Alcalá, go to Retiro park and visit the lagoon, Casón del Buen Retiro, Prado Museum, Botanic Garden, Paseo del Prado, Obelisco 2 de Mayo, Bolsa Palace, Thyssen Museum, Cibeles Fountain.
